\nTreating this area immediately restores positive emotions, provided that treatment is not exaggerated: corners of the mouth which are too high, in a permanent smile, or bitterness lines which are too filled and weigh down the lower face.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo avoid these pitfalls, we use hyaluronic acid fillers in a strategic way\u201d, explains Dr Nelly Gauthier. \u201cThe idea is not to fill the depressions, but to subtly work on the area to give the face back its beauty. It is possible to combine this treatment with a drop of botulinum toxin at the corner of the lips to reduce the depressor anguli oris (DAO) muscle. Of course, in the case of marked nasolabial folds, the principle is the same: it would be a mistake to completely fill them, as you risk ending up with an unnatural-looking face.\u201d<\/p>\n
